Bennett’s Calabash Seafood

Family owned and operated since 1978, Bennett’s Calabash Seafood serves up an award winning “Calabash Style” seafood buffet. What’s Calabash Style, you ask? Well it originated in the town Calabash, NC which is a hop skip and a jump down the coast from Myrtle Beach. Fresh catches of the day would be lightly battered, fried and served up to locals and visitors alike. It was such a mouth watering hit that of course the word traveled up the coast and soon enough the small town of Calabash became infamous for their style of cooking fresh seafood. 

There are so many options to choose from at Bennett’s Calabash Seafood! Check out their menu online before you go and it may or may not help eliminate your choices, because there are so many delicious items! Let’s just start with the drink options, oh my! From the tropical delights, featuring the Shark Bite, then to the variety of wines and beer to the frozen drinks such as the Pina Colada, which is always a must have at the beach! You are definitely going to find something to quench your thirst. 

As far as food, the possibilities are endless to find what you crave! The all you can eat buffet offers a variety of food. There are the crab legs, different styles of prepared shrimp, fish options from salmon to tuna and then some! If you want oysters, they have them fried or steamed! Clams are also available fried or steamed. Try the variety of shrimp, the cajun crawfish and the crabmeat. There’s a raw bar and a fully stocked salad bar as well! There are so many options for the seafood buffet, but if seafood isn’t your thing, try the other items available on the bar such as: spaghetti, steak, pork ribs, fried chicken, sausage, mac and cheese…the list goes on and on!

Don’t want to overdo it? Order a platter from the kitchen instead. Their menu offers 11 different platters that come with a baked potato or fries and a trip to the salad bar. If you know exactly what you would like to eat, this is the perfect option for you. Choose from the ribeye steak, shrimp and steak, shrimp, chicken tenders, oyster platter, flounder platter or a delicious scallop platter.

Hope you saved room for dessert! Their dessert bar features a variety of cakes, cheesecake and pies to choose from. From the hot cobbler to the banana pudding, it’s all just right! There’s also ice cream to top off those delicious desserts to satisfy your sweet tooth even more.
